It’s been a while since my last visit, and I must say — this place has reignited my faith once again. From the moment we stepped in, everything just felt right: service was impressively swift, the service crews were attentive, and the food? Still worth waking up early for. I went for their Premium Laksa King, and it came crowned with three jumbo-sized prawns nestled in a rich broth. One spoon of soup and I could tell it was the first batch of soup for the day — savory, comforting, with just a touch of creaminess that didn’t overpower. I remembered how different it tasted during my last visit in the late afternoon — that version was noticeably creamier and heavier. This morning’s version felt lighter, fresher, and closer to what I’d originally fallen in love with. Also, it came exactly pictured in the menu. Mr Hubby decided to try their mixed beef and paired it with a pickled calamansi drink, which he really enjoyed — tangy, slightly salty, and refreshing. Unfortunately, the mixed beef wasn’t quite to his liking. The flavours didn’t hit the mark, he was happier with the Tuaran noodles. At one point, he thoughtfully got me a small dish of sambal to spice things up, but even that sparked a mini food critique — he felt it tasted commercial, like the kind you could pick up from a supermarket shelf. Familiar, but lacking that extra house-made touch. By 0730am, the place started packed with locals and tourists, all looking for a good start to the day. If you want to beat the crowd, come by 0700am — that peaceful pre-rush window is the real sweet spot. Still, for me, the laksa was the star, and I walked away satisfied. Kthxbye.

Service Was Always Super Fast Even Always Crowded With Customers, 👍👍👍

Long queue & full house restaurant during peak hour. Tried on their signature yee fung laksa king, contains 3 prawns. Overall taste good. Yee fund ngao chap taste good as well. The soup broth is delicious. Although full house, food still served within 10 minutes, fast service. Open aired, indoor restaurant that serve no pork. Packed at peak hours and have to wait at least 15-30mins. However, turnover rate is fast. Staffs prepare and serve foods and drinks fast. Despite many customers, they are quite organised in placing them to tables. Had their famous Yee Fung laksa. Personally, I would prefer thicker taste of laksa soup. Otherwise, prawns are fresh. Added on their sambal that’s readily available on each table. Ngiu chap was just quite ok I would prefer yii xiang Ngiu Chap.

Second visit here and tried their ngiu chap. Their blackpepper ngiu chap broth is thick, meat abit dry, not really like their ngiu chap but this is just my preference 😆 My Sarawak friends quite like their laksa while comparing to their Sarawak Laksa. Food served quite fast even full house.

This place is famous for its laksa but I tried their Ngiu Chap. The strong herbal soup base was nice. Taste very local. Best to try their laksa. Both are good, but laksa tastes better

This is me & my family's favourite breakfast spot whenever we go Gaya Street market every Sunday. I went back after MCO 2 years. Sadly, it doesn't taste like how it used to be when I ate during my childhood. The laksa soup are much more creamier. The boss is no longer cooking, his staffs are cooking at his station kitchen. Slightly disappointed though. They accept cash & e-wallets for payments. Checkout my ig:_humanburrito.bki for pictures.

不用多讲 吃过的人都知道……好吃! 只是价钱起了 米粉有点变少了:( 但还是会去吃的啦! PS 我只吃他们家的牛杂米粉汤(╹◡╹)

Food & drinks served within 10 minutes after we placed our order, quick service 👍🏻 1) Beef Laksa Mee Hoon 牛什叻沙(RM12 after special request for adding egg, tofu pok & beansprout) - Good portion and the laksa tasted thick today, improved a lot since there’s no China tourist. Normal laksa (chicken) cost you RM8.50 but portion will be smaller. 2) Teh Maderas Ping (RM3.50) - Am satisfied with it 😋 Huge cup bah 3) Lettuce with Oyster Sauce (RM6) - Normal portion, just tried to get some fiber & Vitamin C while having heavy stuff. Usual kopitiam environment and the seats are quite packed, felt a bit hot while having lunch inside. 6% service tax applied on bill.

Good choice when walking in the Jalan Gaya, the food is  fresh and yum, the service is quick. But the taste is certainly not as good as before, after the "baptism" of chinese tourists🤣

First try their laksa, tastes Good. The place is crowded , can consider to contact them before going to take away the food.
