It may look like your average neighborhood Western food joint, but Smokies is anything but average! Overall ambience is quiet, chill and relax. Staffs are helpful in assisting to clarify the menu items. Free flow fried potatoes skin, honestly it tasted so much better than fries.
The boss very nice and chatty, willing to ask and accept all the honest feedbacks from the customers and he put a lot of effort to smoke the Satay chicken make it so tender and juicy plus not pricey. Overall i like it. Will be back for more.

I’m not fond of mashed potatoes so usually won’t order mashed potatoes as side dish. But their mashed potatoes are super delicious. Creamy, smooth and rich buttery flavor served with large portion, The best I have ever eaten. Meatball was good but I prefer pulled lamb.😋
The second special point is the fried potato skins. Seriously, fried potato skins are really better than fries, and can be refilled for free. 😍

Came here because I heard their food was quaite famous and many good reviews.
Nice quaint place to have dinner here with quality smoked beef. Fried potato skin is free and crispy (served with bbq sauce). This is definitely better than french fries. Smoked beef is tender and juicy paired with very creamy and very smooth mashed potatoes.
#Serve no pork and will definitely come back soon👍🏻

I ordered the smoked beef cheek. It comes with mashed potato. You can have the beef with or without bbq sauce. Either way tastes awesome. The mashed potato is smooth. So smooth.
The fried potato skin is complimentary.
The place is operated by uncle clement, ex-engineer. He is very friendly. And he is definitely the pro of smoked meat.

LWe came to try because i see many good reviews about it.
This is a texas inspired dish (according to the owner) We ordered meatball with mash potato and beef cheek with mash potato. I have to say , the beef melted in my mouth !!! You can also taste the ‘smoke’ ,
Their fried potato skin is unlimited , very naiseee too. The reason they came out with this is they dont want to waste the potato skin . (Pic3)
Super yummy and they always running out of stock. The friendly owner said can call and do ur dish booking from them . He also said that they are using high quality of beef and sometimes its difficult to get.

Not many smokehouse you can find in Kota kinabalu, but this is one of the best smokehouse I been to.
The meat of soft and tender and smoky fragrance is on the spot.
Mashed potato is a compliment to the smoked meat, it is perfect together.
Go give it a try, it is located in Taman Fortuna
