46 Kedai Kopi Ngiu Chap

A short getaway & food hunting to Papar last weekend. I reached Benoni Commercial Centre before noon for brunch. This coffee shop was advertised in the social media previously for their ngiu chap. There's other dishes recommended as well. Coffee shop is easy to find, it's just located behind the Golden Dragon City. Spacious parking available on weekend. Owner greet customers with smile & answer customers politely, staffs are fast responsive & attentive. Tables & seats are place outside, self service utensils. I sat at a corner without ceiling fans & flies are around. Annoying. I ordered laksa special (big prawns), ngiu chap & a set of chicken rice combination of steamed & roasted chicken. I was shocked when my Laksa was served, because it ain't same with the banner they showed there's 3 big prawns. I clarified with the owner directly, he apologised & told me there's no stock for the big prawns currently. Honestly, I'm upset the staff didn't inform me despite he took my order firstly & there's miscommunication between them. All the meals are average, ngiu chap & laksa soup are okay, anyhow the chicken rice is the most standard & decent. My laksa was served with caramelised chopped onions instead of sambal. This is something special. The taste of laksa was slightly spicy & mix with the sweetness from the caramelised onions. Rather odd but pleasant. They accept cash & e-wallets for payments.
