improved food & service

stayed in Magellan resort, at night there was a bad thunderstorm. we were planning to go down to the restaurant to eat, but the wind & rain was crazy, so the staff said can order and bring to the room. i have eaten here multiple times. the food has always been so-so, not very impressive for hotel standard food. there was once we saw a huge rat run out of the kitchen too, and there were a few times where service was slow and workers' attitude weren't good. however this time the food was better! everyone loved the fish & chips and seafood pizza. skip the margherita pizza tho, it looks lovely on the menu but when it arrived there was only 3 sad pieces of basil on top. sausage platter was nice, recommended if you enjoy thick German-style sausages. mushroom soup was not as creamy as i'd wanted it to be, but the taste was ok. i didn't try the gelato but my friends said it was nice. price was around RM220 but after 25% member discount, we all agree that it was worth it. even at full price i think its not too pricey for hotel food.
