Farewell Dinner🥂 @ Happy Place🐮

It was a memorable evening, sharing a farewell dinner with my colleagues and bosses. For my main dish, I ordered the Seafood Aglio Olio, which was flavorful but not extraordinary. The mussels were fresh, the prawns were perfectly cooked, and the pasta was seasoned well, but the portion was disappointingly small. Even as someone who usually eats lightly, I found myself still hungry. For dessert, I had the tiramisu, which was decent but not the best I’ve had—good, but missing that extra spark. On the other hand, the sweet potato fries were an unexpected highlight for me. They were crispy, sweet, and utterly delightful, though I seemed to be the only one who appreciated them, as others found them too sweet. We shared a bottle of wine for the evening’s toast, and while it was fine, it wasn’t particularly memorable. The supposed “chill” was a letdown—it wasn’t cold enough to enjoy properly. Luckily, I paired my food with a classic cola, which ended up saving the experience for me. It was refreshing, balanced out the wine, and paired surprisingly well with the meal. The service, however, could use some improvement. While the staff was polite, one thing stood out—the waiter asked us to pass our dirty plates to them. It’s a small detail, but it felt out of place for a proper dining experience. A little more effort and attentiveness, like simply walking around the table to collect the plates, would have gone a long way in elevating the service. Overall, while the evening wasn’t perfect, it was still a special and heartfelt gathering. The atmosphere and company made up for the minor flaws, and the night served as a bittersweet reminder of the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.
