Ikan Portugis

On yesterday rainy evening, I am crave for deep fried milkfish and squid, thus I suggested Mr Hubby to visit this spot again because it’s the nearest to where we stay. The place has renovated, and no more suffocating kitchen smoke inside, and ordering is now done at a counter near the entrance before finding seat. I ordered the milkfish set, upgrading to nasi kuning for an extra charge, I added a side of deep-fried squid, and requesting the sambal to be served separately. Mr Hubby tried the Nasi Kuning with deep-fried chicken set, which looked delicious at the menu and he wanted to try it during our first visit but sold out. The milkfish and chicken was crispy outside with flavorful spices coating, and the nasi kuning was fragrant. However, there were some frustrating issues… Despite the place is air conditioned, the coffee shop felt warm, flies and mosquitoes were buzzing around during the meal, which was irritating. I got stung too! The kitchen forgot my side order of squid and failed to separate the sambal as requested. By the time I had finished my meal, I requested to cancel it. Initially, the counter lady was reluctant to refund, but I was in a hurry to airport, eventually she processed it after kitchen crews informed that they have not cook yet. Kthxbye.
