老味道饭店 Old Taste Recipe Restaurant @ FohSang
After my last visit with friends, ive decided to tey out their 叫菜吃饭 with my family.
Mongolian Chicken Rm18 (5/10)
Its serve in fillet style, and not chicken chop, the sauce alittle bit funny, i really donno how to describe the taste of it, heavy in black papper taste. Thats it i can recall about this dish, i was thinking to describe more, but thats what in my mind now! Not really my liking, i like chicken serve in chicken chop style ba 😆 and the sauce abit hehe😅
Claypot Toufu with Seafood (8/10) Rm18
A generous portion of seafoods including prawn,sotong and fish, with alot of veges and taufu. Taste was niceee and seafood is so freshhhh! The prawn is biggggg here!! Definitely worth your money than the chicken🤣
Salted egg sotong Rm18(7.5/10)
The sotong is so crispy and fresh. You can feel the sotong itself is crunchy bcz its freshhhh!! Altho the salted egg taste is not heavy, but the sotong itself is nice. The coating of the sotong is light too. I think that it will be nicer if the salted egg have more heavier taste🫢
Curry Fish Head Rm38 (3/10)
Their captain always recommend this to people but im not sure if she tasted this before. Im not sure what fish they are using, but the fish is so so soooooo fishy today. Even the curry taste cannot cover the fishy smell. Curry is on the spicy side, not that flavourful. You can just taste spicy and curry. You couldnt feel the aromatic of the curry, basically not that “hiong” la if you know what i mean hahahaha! I still prefer delicious curry house’s curry fish when comes to curry ikan! Nothing good about this fish!

Overall out of 4dishes, theres two dishes that i approve, which is claypot taufu and salted egg sotong. My advice to you is that be careful on ordering dishes on this shop, not every dish is tasty🤣🤣 but still the shop is really worth to give a try. I will definitely go here again, but a big no no to curry fish head. But not to forget to mention, they serve really fresh sliced fish, weird kan, slice fish fresh but head not fresh.. but anyway, you can still give it a try whenever you are running out of idea what to eat! You may go to my profile and check the previous review on this shop! They serve very nice sesame kuey teow too yoww~~ Thats it for today, BAI~~~
