I'd authentic China Muslim cuisine for brunch last weekend with my family & it was delightful.
We'd ordered:
i. Boiled & deep fried lamb dumplings
Personally, I prefer the boiled dumplings as the taste of the lamb are stronger.
Deep fried weren't bad either, as it's crunchy on the outside.
ii. Flower tea
Combination of chrysanthemum, rose, gojiberry, slice dates, tea leaves & etc.
It has mildness sweetness. Lovely taste.
iii. Custard salted egg bun
The bun is flat in shape. Anyhow it has the oozing molten custard salted egg inside, absolutely finger licking yummy!
iv. Beef & cumin steamed bun
The bun is milky beige color, mild taste of beef & cumin. Was okay for me.
v. Crispy scallion pancake
Crispy texture outside & soft inside. It's tasteless however it taste good when I dip it into my noodle soup. Not much of strong smell of scallion though.
vi. Pull noodle with lamb soup
First time trying lamb soup. It taste heavy of the spices, prolly to get rid of the lamb gamey smell & taste.
Personally I love strong gamey smell & taste because that's what I taste when I'm at China.
On the other hand, the pull noodle was on point, soft & perfect cooked.
vii. Braised beef with dry mix noodle (not in picture)
Braised beef is superb tender & flavourful. Generous portion was given as well.
Service was okay, waitress are polite. Hygienic environment, toilets are dry & clean as well. Strong ceiling fans.
They're crowded with regular customers during weekend. Some dropped by just to buy their steamed buns & pastries.
