美源烧腊 Mei Yuan Shao La

Used to be my fav shao la place at last lunch around (3.30pm). But now food is not as good as last time. Service is slow also, 1 of them only stay in the cashier and they not serving food, as I saw my food waiting at the window 🙃 char sao is tender, but shao rou is abit it hard at the skin boy crispy dy.

It’s located just opposite Sunlight Gaya Street, beside Oyo Hotel. The renovation of the shop is good, fully aircon but got flies 🪰 inside, so be careful of your food or drink. They have varieties of food to choose in the menu. I guess it was understaff, only 1 lady taking order and another 1 is the barista. Came here during lunch peak hours, it’s crowded. Ordered curry meehoon (recommended by the waitress) and my friend ordered roasted pork & chicken rice. The curry meehoon with roasted pork & casao look legit, but once I tasted one sip, sigh overshots of Santan milk & dont have the curry fragrance (you know those with curry leaves taste) hmm Its taste like curry paste + lots of coconut milk only 😞😞 It’s over kaw which I wasted the whole bowl of soup. The sao nyuk & casao are too fat & oily, all the fats in my mouth. end up I only manage to finish half of the meehoon and vegetable only. Roasted pork and chicken rice? hmmm my friend said not nice. Not crispy and it’s dry. I didn’t manage to capture it 😅.
