I've passed by this shop many times but today finally made it to try the chicken rice. It's around Jalan Gaya area.
Wow, it's delicious! I ordered the corn-fed chicken breast rice. The rice came in a bowl along with soup and a platter of sauces. Of course I asked for more chilli and garlic ginger sauce 😆 The chicken was juicy and tender and the gravy is similar to those steam fish gravy. The rice was aromatic. It looked like a big bowl and I actually finished it.
My husband ordered laksa. The broth was good too! And a drink.
We really had no expectations when trying new restaurants. I didn't see any reviews or research about it, just wanted to try. I walked out happy and satisfied 😊

Chicken rice also very biji biji
With chicken white carrot or melon soup 👍 soup can refill

A Hong Kong-inspired eatery recently caught my attention on my social media homepage, and what intrigued me the most was its interior design.
Their menu highlights Hainanese chicken rice, customers can choose between farm or village raised chicken, with prices varying by the part of the chicken selected.
I opted for the village chicken thigh, while Mr Hubby ordered the Sabah curry noodles. The noodles are like Sandakan spring noodles with chewy texture.
The chicken rice set came with fragrant rice, 3 sauces, and soup of the day. The rice was the star of the meal, bursting with a strong lemongrass aroma that I loved.
However, I was surprised by the small portion of the chicken thigh. As for the curry soup tasted like Maggi curry, which he enjoyed with the thick noodles.
His curry noodle have mixed veggies and a side of chopped farm chicken breast, which had a distinct mushy texture compared to the village raised chicken.
The ground floor primarily serves Hainanese chicken rice until 0700pm, while the second floor operates as a seafood restaurant and stays open until 0200am.
