this is also a usual place for our family dinner.. serves no pork.. nevertheless, the dishes taste no less than any other Chinese food.. serving is generous, tastes good, with aircon..

Fish Sauce Mee Hoon
Alas.. Didn't manage to take a photo of our fish sauce mee hoon. The dish was a good portion and tastes good. I'd rank this second to the assam nyonya fish slice for the entire meal.
RM13 at E West lagi. Same price as eating out in kopitiam these days. I would say very well worth the price.

Black Pepper Beef with Crispy Shredded Kailan
Shown as chef recommended. Was okay okay saja to my opinion. Guess the selling point would be its crispy shredded kailan, in which was a first to me. Initially thought it was meant for garnishing only haha but was told edible. Texture is similar to crispy seaweed.

Beancurd with Preserved Radish
Some places serve this dish on a heavier note but E West's version is on the lighter side. No meat toppings, just radish as per depict on their menu. Taste was decent, can't go wrong with this tofu. Can consider if you want something lighter or some meatless protein.

Braised Mushroom with Taukan & Broccoli
Note to self to order a LARGE next time since it's our only vege dish. Was expecting portion to be bigger considering it's vege but hey, it's always expensive to eat vege out these days. Ordered mainly for the taukan. Their taukan (beancurd sheets) is not the fried to puffy/multi-layer type. Okay, not wowsies not meh.

Sesame Chicken
Chicken chunks coated in sesame and honey? syrup. Wasn't able to taste much of the sesame despite the emphasis of SESAME on the name of the dish haha. Now looking at the photo, the chicken wasn't coated evenly with much sesame either.
Safe dish, nothing adventurous.

Assam nyonya fish fillet
Star dish of our entire meal. The dish was not spicy hot (If you're an average spice taker, you can handle this). Spice and assam was balanced out perfectly and the broth was cooked to a semi-thick consistency, pairing it perfectly with a good bowl of rice. What a dish.

Dined in at E West for the first time in many years. Wednesday lunch time, not packed. Can consider if you're looking for a place to do business lunch.
Chose E West over 5th Avenue for their broader choices of chinese dishes and also because they serve no pork. For both western and chinese, 5th Avenue will be your choice with non-halal options.
Nothing to complain about the environment.
Service was okay, but subpar to Super 7.
Their menu is now "scan to view", fancy haha.
There's a parking lot underground so fret not if you see their old open space parking lot blocked off for sale, just turn round to the lorong behind.
