🦆Timeless Classic Peking Duck 🥙

This restaurant has been in business since 1968, and their highlights dish - Peking Duck, along with a variety of traditional Chinese dishes. Their Peking Duck has been adapted to local taste, taste more of Hong Kong style roast instead. They offer 2 types of sets: a whole duck or a half portion. The duck is served boneless style, and the skin is not the crispy version. It came with their housemade crepes, two sweet sauce, and shredded spring onions. We ordered... King Hu Beijing Duck set (half) Mapo tofu Fried and steamed handmade Mantou Stir fried sweet potato leaves Minced pork noodle Pork with soya bean sauce I like the housemade fried hand-knitted bun, with its crispy outer layer and soft, fluffy inside. I dipped it into the soup and the pork soy bean sauce—delicious! We were plan to order the steamed tientsin cabbage, however we switched to stir fried sweet potato leaves after being informed it has finished. Conclusively, all the dishes we had were heavily seasoned with a strong savoury taste in the pallete. However, I hope they can improve their service. My family had called and whatsapp ahead to make a reservation, but upon arrival, one of the staff mentioned they couldn't find the name. Luckily, it wasn't busy during that day and they able to got us a large table. The restaurant is always bustling with regular patrons, especially during dinnner hour. One of the main attractions is that the restaurant retains its classic, old-school dining style, evoking a nostalgic vibe reminiscent of our parents' era. Be sure to let them know if you don't want the appetisers and wet napkins, otherwise they'll automatically serve to your table and added to your bill. Kthxbye.

吃烤鸭要找老店、老招牌、老厨师

在亚庇无人不知的老店，经历了无数的岁月的洗礼还存活下来. 烤鸭还有包皮、蒜丝、酱料、还把鸭骨熬成精华汤，半只RM43/整只RM86 ，货物膨胀后价格还保持这样的水平真的是找不到了🫣 这里的菜色样样都有“锅气” ，不愧是老手！我点了： — 北京烤鸭😙 — 肉碎日本豆腐☺️ — 姜葱鸵鸟肉😋 — 排骨王😊 — 盐焗虾球😏 — 柠檬鸡😝 — 蒸白菜😍 不管几人都好，建议全部点小份多样菜色，就可以品尝更多美味的美食经济实惠的老店，里面的装潢还是保持着老老的气息. 大大的冷气、小小粒的瓷砖、很有“锅气”的菜肴. 想念阿公阿嬷的味道，来品一品这家老店吧🤭

Peking Duck, Tanjung Aru

Ordered: 1) Peking Duck (whole duck) - Serve together with duck soup (my favourite), scallions, pancake (wrap) and sauce. Improved compared to my last visit, finally they slice the duck into thinner slices. 2) Fried Mantau - Carbohydrateeeee, but who cares 🥴 3) Sweet and Sour Pork 咕噜肉 - So-so, not recommend. 4) Ginger Spring Onion Fish Fillet 姜葱鱼片 - Tasted nice, the fish slices were fresh 5) 大白菜 Didn’t manage to take photos for all dishes as we were too hungry that time, finished our plates in 20 minutes time 🥴 Fully aircon but seats are quite packed. Booking needed even on weekdays as the restaurant was almost full at 7pm when we came in.

Just because i craved for beijing duck

King Hu supposed to be the parents old time favorites . I have to say (my personal opinion) , their dish is not as good as it used to be. We ordered half beijing duck -comes with wrap and soup , fried bun (炸饅頭） and you mak (vege) The food is so so , but i will still come back for the beijing duck 😂. Ever since the restaurant in suria closed , i have no idea where to have beijing duck served with wrap anymore. Any suggestion?

The duck still alive.

King hu has been around for years and years already and famous with their duck and thin pancakes to go with it. The restaurant itself is old and retro but don't panic okay, they have aircond!!! When I step in the shop in the afternoon for lunch I can smell the sweat of the office workers. All their hard work in the office really inspire me. The tg aru branch has this lady captain working there, very interesting person. I think she thinks I'm her grandson. One day as I was having lunch the food is on our table and we were eating, she ask us to eat faster because she want to take the early bus home. Want to close the shop fast if can. I thought she was joking so I laughed. What I can tell you is her face turn dark with no emotion. Same like the duck face. But I think her real name is alligator Betty. It's all of these feelings and smell and emotions that make this restaurant special. I still go there often. Really Ohsemm!
