La Chichá Mexican Grill & Bar, Imago

I’ve been seeing online ads about this Mexican bar and grill from KL opening at Imago (located beside HaiDiLao), so naturally I had to check it out for their menu. The ambience caught me right away, the interior is so beautifully decorated, with a lively vibe that makes you feel like you’re on a little getaway. The service crews were polite, super attentive and regularly checking in with customers, which kinda heartwarming and little too much for me. I was a little let down when they informed me they’ve ran out of burritos — the main reason I came for. So, I went for tacos instead: 2 hard shells and 2 soft shells. 🐮 Aguacate De Res 🐐 Cordero Habanero 🐔 Al Pastor De Pollo 🐟 Pescado Con Pimiento Rojo The lamb and fish taco stole the show with its well-marinated, flavorful bite and no chewy bites. But, the chicken didn’t quite impress, it turned out too dry. To complete the meal, I paired it with a margarita tropical tequila slush, which was refreshing and complemented the tacos well. I’m intrigued with the strawberry flavour. The team was polite enough to recommend their Mexican hot sauce to pair with the tacos, which elevated the experience and extra kick for the taste buds. While I was disappointed about missing the burrito, overall, it was still a pleasant visit — and I’d definitely come back to give that elusive burrito a proper try! Kthxbye.
