I purposely chose the left corner seat, right in front of the counter with the sink at Matcha Studio, for a front-row view of my matcha latte being prepared—a little behind-the-scenes experience that made the wait even more enjoyable!
Skipped Ren this time, scared it would be too bitter for me, treated myself to a Kiku matcha latte (less ice, less sugar) and was impressed that they opted for Eco Yap fresh milk, a well-regarded choice among locals. The bold umami of Kiku blended smoothly with the milk, creating a balanced and satisfying matcha experience.
Paired it with a matcha croissant, perfectly flaky with a delicious green tea aroma.
Couldn’t resist bringing home matcha choux and matcha tart for my family—because great matcha bakes are meant to be shared!
Verdict: A must-try for matcha lovers! Next time, maybe I’ll be brave enough for Ren which the menu describes to give a super high umami flavour. 😆

we ordered the yuri (matcha) & akane (hojicha) drinks + a matcha tart
drinks were generally good, but tart was just ordinary
a pretty chill place to read a book or just enjoy your time with friends 😎

This place offers good varieties of matcha and I think they do have Hojicha and Genmaicha if you’re not a matcha person.
Recommendation:
1. Matcha subs with oat milk/ no sugar.
Slightly pricey.

🍰 Matcha pistachio cake with a blend of yuri & ajisai matcha
The cake is decorated with chamomile on top of each slice. Minimalist design with bold flavours of matcha & pistachio.
Matcha bitterness with nutty taste of pistachio & mild sweetness. Just nice.
🍓 Matcha strawberry roulade
Strawberry was sour, hard & taste frozen. Other than that, it was good.
Fresh cream are light & unsweetened.
They've adds on & elevated Niko Neko matcha categories. I ordered myself a cup of hot Ren matcha.
The highest spectrum in Niko Neko range. Super high umami savoriness. High pistachio nuttiness & creaminess aftertaste.
My evening high tea ended splendidly. Matcha Studio always have new pastries & different range of desserts.

Very very matcha matcha matcha cha cha cha....., the choux is excellent!! The Ajisai got diff. layer of flavour, satisfied.

Very very very x 100 white minimalist deco, staffs also wearing white attire, white till i got the "suffocating " feel😅😅😅 Maybe i got white white phobia, it's personal issue.
90% ladies customer during my visit.
For non matcha lover, at least u still got coffee to drink, while accompany ur gf & mummy.

Good news for all the Matcha fans out there... Choose ur own kind of matcha ( four types but left yuri to select at d moment making a hard time ) & hojicha (two types) with variety of matcha Desserts as well. Don't need to choose jz Bring more friends & tried it all.....

I had the Ajisai Matcha Latte (origin from Yame,Japan) and I gotta say that this was the very first place in KK that delivers exactly how Ajisai truly represents (the taste is 100% spot on)
The taste profile : toasted soybean-like pistachio like nuttiness, hint for lingering bitterness. Definitely a place for true Matcha lovers! Oh, and if you're looking for a place to update your Instagram, this is the place to be! Sooo freaking elegant with a hint of minimalism literally everywhere. However, I was a bit sad that they sold out all of their desserts! But hey, that just proves how much people love this place. So, what are you waiting for? Matcha Studio by gdc is a must place to visit ASAP.
