Mr Boyfriend loves ordering foods from this restaurant previously via GrabFood app due to great promo codes.
I found the foods were quite delicious hence I decide to dine in, however each time I left with disappointed.
These were my orders & thoughts:
Angelica sinensis (dong quai, aka female ginseng) & yam soup with seafood & rice noodle
Flavour of the herb is subtle with hint of milk taste & salty.
Diced yam seems has been left out for a period as I taste it's no longer fresh.
They're using fresh fish fillets, squid tentacles only & shrimps.
Mozzarella stuffed squid balls
They're using & processed squid mantle then stuffed with cheese, coated with bread crusts cube & deep fried until golden brown.
I saw there's strange color thread in it (picture 8) then I inquired with the staff.
She told me it's the fishnet & discount myr3 for this dish.
Stir fried Tenom choi sum with garlic
It appeared overly glistening, taste bitter & leaving greasy on my lips.
Spinach with century egg & salty egg yolk in superior sauce
This is delectable.
Mapo style with homemade tofu
They're using white tofu but I requested changed to their signature homemade tofu.
Taste okay, just average.
Wat tan hor chicken & seafood rice noodle
It was okay.
Avocado juice with milo powder
My customised order. It was creamy & yumy.
They accept cash & e-wallets for payments. Service was okay. The interior is hot. Limited parking after 7pm.

Is this the real life? Is this the fantasy? I've forgot this dish ever exist. Ordered via Grab and the seller kindly called me up to inform that they're short of one squid ball and could they replace it with another vege dish. Such service 🥺 the size was generous that you'd heartily pay for the price. The breadcrumbs were oily crunchy and aaahh the cheese for us to do the cheese pull 🤤 give it a go people

第一次来尝试一下位于taman cantek 靠近lido 的那两排店，店名叫meng keong pkp seafood restaurant。
甜酸鱼片 (RM25)
- 很好吃！鱼片口感炸的有点脆脆的，鱼肉嫩嫩的，再沾上甜甜酸酸的酱汁。份量很多！只可惜带点辣味。本人比较喜欢不带辣味的甜酸汁。
烧汁鸡肉 (RM16)
- 这个也意外好吃。虽然他们用鸡胸肉，但是肉很滑嫩。可惜这道菜也是有点辣的。问了老板娘这道菜辣不辣，她说不辣的。哪里知道… 也是有点辣的。酱汁是偏咸的，搭配青椒和洋葱。很下饭！
整体是很好吃，只是今天本人比较不想吃辣就会有一点点失望。难怪那么多人来打包食物，从我踏进这间店到我吃完饭，厨师忙得都没有停下来过。菜的份量是很足够两三人份量。酱汁会偏浓稠，味道比较属于重口味的。价钱是值得！环境不错，算干净。如果不吃辣的，可能要问一问可不可以要求不放辣椒(本人不确定可不可以)。

Chinese food at taman cantek.
Overall ok
Service = very attentive waiter and food come on around 15min +-
Environment = a bit hot but during dinner time will be packed. I went around 7pm. Need to queue and wait for table.
Food = average. But i saw a lot customers order their curry asam fish (maybe will try to order that next time)

点了在脸书上推荐的！
1. Mozzarella Stuffed Squid Balls - 花枝丸的味道充裕。好吃！😋👍🏻 周围的小方若单吃的话，有点儿油腻，而且乳酪有点少了，只占丸子的1/3。🌝 价钱偏高，一粒丸均价RM5。🌞
2. Buttermilk Prawn + Rice - 虾超级新鲜，肉质脆脆！🤯👍🏻 湿奶油一级棒。🙆🏻♀️
3. Seafood watan - 是的！Wok Hei 十足！😃👍🏻 整体是超级好吃。😋
家里各个都非常满意，期待下次的外带或堂食。🥳

Saw few post on fb about this restaurant.
Curious and decided to give it a try.
The restaurant is actually Stalls concept but you can order everything with the same person.
I order
1) Tomyam Soup Konlomee ( Fish Fu & Wantan) : Tomyam taste abit sour, kolomee is okay. Their Fish Fu is good but wantan not so good 🤣
2) Hamchoi Soup with Fried Fish Slice: the fried fish is fresh and tasty but the soup and meehoon abit mehhh…
Overall the taste is ok.
