Indefinable taste for salmon salad, really nice dressing...
Not expected given fish and chip seem like banana fritter.hahahaha...
Grill chicken thigh very nice but need to wait for 40-50min, worth to wait...

88400 Kota Kinabalu. This is a brand new place 🤩
For the food my personal experience i would rate 9/10
i really love their desserts vanilla ice cream with mix berry and crumbles.
Would i come here again? Definitely yes🤩

what we ordered:
🥔 potato pave - just ordinary
🍝 scallop mentaiko pasta - not very well seasoned, the creamy sauce didn’t really go well with the angel hair pasta
🍝 mala carbonara pasta - mala lovers should try this, we thought it was quite unique
🥩 200 days black angus striploin - ordered the medium well, the beef was one of the best dishes of the day
🐑 seared lamb - worth a try

🌶 "Mala" Carbonara Squid Ink Pasta RM36
Ask to adjust the spicy level if you can’t handle too much spice like me! It does get more 麻 and 辣 overtime. This fusion pasta is not only creative but also tastes really good! With strong flavour of creamy mala sauce on al dente spaghetti and fresh flower prawns! 🦐
☕️ Dusty Salted Caramel Latte RM13
Has a strong caramel taste. Too sweet for my liking. 🫣

🥔 Potato Pavè RM28
Crispy on the outside and super soft in the middle! 😍 love how the sour cream helps to mellow down the saltiness. It goes well with the torched mentai! 😋
🥩 Black Angus Beef & Truffle Pate Rice RM58
Ordered this in medium rare. The truffle pate compliments the beef well. One a side note, the pickled cucumber is good! 🥒
🍝 Creamy Mentaiko Angel Hair Rm26
You’ll love this if you’re a fan of thin pasta 😙 personally don’t like the taste of the torched scallop, but the mentaiko sauce is rich, flavourful and not too overwhelming 👍

Service is good, environment is cozy even tiny place but good interior design.
I guess they spend alot of efforts to give the foods nice "display", thats why all the foods served was cold. Even the egg yolk already became superb kerasssssss....ordered three type of food so far Salmon is the only i can finish(reason is this is the only dish consume in cold didnt affect my appetite)..
Overall cant comment much on the taste because i personally have no mood to further taste it when all the foods is cold( not warm at all either!)

I loved the environment here! The staff was very friendly and attentive too. Some of the food was very delicious and some was okay. Again I did not managed to take all of our food pictures, as we were very hungry at that time. So I’ve attached some other pics from their ig and tagged photos for your reference 😊
What we had:
🥣 Soup of the day may vary (Mushroom soup) 💯
100% recommend as the flavours are rich, I love to eat mushroom so this soup is really to my liking 👍🏻

This was okay for me as I’m not really a big fan of potatoes.

Please squeeze the lime before eating the chicken! It tasted so good together with the black pepper aioli, we can’t stop after our first bite 😋😋
🥗 Quarter’s Green
It’s basically salad with tea smoked chicken, shaved parmesan and some tangry orange vinaigrette. Taste was okay nothing special.
🥩 Simply Steak Rice (See 5th pic)
We were attracted by this dish when we saw it on their ig. You can choose how you like your steak to be done. As for the taste wise, it would be much better if there’s a sauce or gravy to go with the steak. But it was not that bad 😁
🍋🍗 Lemongrass Chicken Rice (See 6th pic)
This dish was mehhh, taste and looks normal. Nothing special about it.
🌶🍝 Mala Carbonara Squid Ink Pasta (See last pic) 💯
I won’t bother coming here and having this dish again, because the flavours go so well together. The Mala actually cuts off the greasiness taste of the carbonara. My friend asked to reduce the spicyness of the mala but it was still quite spicy 🔥 thumbs up to this dish 😋👍🏻
🍼🍝 Creamy Mentaiko Angel Hair
There were torched scallops included, but it has a rather unpleasant smell. There were also mentaiko and tobiko in the dish, compare with the mala carbonara, this dish was actually quite greasy after you had like 2-3 spoons.
We shared all our foods together so that we can have a taste of each dishes. Overall, it was not a bad spot for brunch as there were some dishes which we really enjoyed.
My friend commented on the chefs and assistants in the kitchen as they were not wearing any masks or gloves when preparing for the food.
Our total bill came up to almost RM300 if I’m not mistaken.

Visited this new cafe/restaurant located in the hotel at likas . (Im just wondering who are the hotel’s target market, or maybe im shallow in the future of accommodation strategic location)
Car park is limited , restaurant is quite tiny. We did not made any reservation but advise to do so.
We ordered
Black pepper karage chicken with rice (quite dry, i can’t finish my rice)
Chicken burger ( my friend ordered, but got cheese so i din try)
Matcha kelapa (coconut water taste matcha - for me ok cuz i like matcha w/o milk, for some might feel bitter)
Dirty dust caramel latte
Dessert - vanilla ice cream with crumble and berries
Overall i think so so only. Not my type of taste i guess. Or i should try the steak with rice if i go again next time . But their service is very good ☺️ Environement is comfy too.
