Most of the Japanese restaurants were full, thus I recommended Ramen Kumo to Mr Hubby for dinner after shopping.
Customer have the option of choosing either thin white noodles or thick yellow noodles, and we decided to try both.
We ordered...
Red tonkatsu ramen with yellow thick noodle
Black garlic oil tonkatsu ramen with thin white noodle
Both served with 4 pieces of their marinated chashu, sliced black fungus, chopped spring onions and naruto.
They gave a spoon of their housemade hot red spice to mix with the pork broth therefore it'll become red soup.
The pork bone broth was creamy white, rich, and packed with umami flavour. Needless to say, it was delicious.
Even though the chashu was thinly sliced, however it was incredibly tender, and I enjoyed the fat melted in mouth.
The noodles resembled our local Tuaran noodle. Both of us enjoyed the thick type because we prefer the chewy texture.
