Despite their recent revamped menu, I still walked away with huge disappointment… I ordered the Beef Menchi Katsu Bento. I believe the otoshi, mashed potato salad has randomly replaced with a nugget and a dollop of mayo. The AUDACITY! A simple courtesy of asking if I was okay with the replacement was completely ignored. For a restaurant that positions itself as a decent Japanese establishment, this kind of neglect in the service and respect for diners is unacceptable. Such a small gesture could have made a difference, but nope, nothing. No more for me. Kthxbye.

1. Lava Ramen The Lava Ramen lives up to its name—it’s extremely spicy, to the point where it overwhelmed the entire dish. While the flavor was decent, the overpowering heat made it impossible to fully enjoy. It reminded me of the fiery “ma la” spice used in Chinese cuisine, but without any option to adjust the spice level, it felt like too much. If they allowed customization of the spiciness, this dish would be much more enjoyable and easier to recommend. For now, it’s a decent ramen ruined by its unbearable heat. 2. Bunny pudding with sweet milk and crumbs The Bunny Pudding was a delightful treat! The smooth, creamy pudding paired perfectly with the sweetened milk and biscuit crumbs, creating a dessert that’s rich, indulgent, and incredibly satisfying. It’s the ultimate comfort food for anyone with a sweet tooth. Hella delicious, and definitely worth a try!

I've decided to visit again after my previous pleasant experience, but this time I'm extremely disappointed. I ordered the bara chirashi don for my late lunch, but it looked NOTHING like the picture shown in the menu. The sashimi, pickled radish was cut into tiny cubes, the egg was shredded thinly arranged separately, with NO plating. Honestly, the sashimi mini cubes looks truly unappetizing, it's like leftover scraps from the fishes. I could barely taste them. When I inquiry with their service crew, they said the fish is measured by gram, so it's definitely same as in the menu. This is absolutely ABSURD! In that case, they should stated the measurements of each of the dishes in the menu. Kthxbye.

This Japanese restaurant not only sells a variety of Japanese merchandise, also offers frozen seafood and meals. I chose a frozen salmon belly, and they provided free sashimi slicing service and deep-frying salmon skin for only MYR5. They have a mini sashimi don set that comes with mini udon soup for a special and reasonable price. There are 4 types of mini sashimi don set available, and I picked maguro. It came with edamame, tamagoyaki and seaweed. I loved the salmon sashimi, and Mr Hubby thoroughly enjoyed the deep-fried salmon skin. Both of the meals are delicious. Kthxbye.

Price of Japanese foods are reasonable. Taste of foods is still acceptable. Here you can shop for your steamboat ingredients
