Penang chao shu fen

Went to try out after sering reviews on social media. Abit charred and one of the prawns mushy or not fully cooked otherwise ok. Fortunate to not get an upset stomach.

Colleague dapao us some Kuey Teow and Dried Shrimp Fritters for lunch. Kuey Teow - Using pork lard to fried with some bean sprout, fish cake and Lap Cheong. It was fragrant but somehow lack something for me, it’s the sambal. They have forgotten to put the sambal.. Sad, pretty sure it will be more delicious with the sambal. Dried Shrimp Fritters - I really really like this one, so crispy and fragrant. Best paired with their sweet chili sauce although it was abit oily. Price wise I do not know the exact price hence I won’t put pricing on this post. Overall it’s quite enjoyable, would recommend to go restaurant better.

Worthy wet butter chicken rice, Inanam

This kopitiam serves a variety of Penang street food (Penang Asam Laksa, Penang Lobak & Chu Chang Fun etc), and there’s a stall inside serving rice set (碟头饭). Wet Butter Chicken Rice (RM8) - Price increased this year (RM7.50 previously), but it’s definitely worth a try. Chicken was crispy, and a big thumbs up to the wet butter sauce. Look at how generous the portion too, it’s rare to find places serving such worthy lunch meal for us pity salaryman. Haven’t tried the Penang food yet, but heard ppl said it’s good as well.
