🐐 Le Ramadhan Buffet Extravaganza 🍴

As a non Muslim, I am really looking forward to what Ramadhan bazaar & buffet offer every year. This year, we chose this hotel because they not only offered a special early bird price but also featured the most popular dish, braised gearbox stew. We arrived before 6pm & we're seated at our table in the middle of the dining hall. After settling in, we took a stroll around to see what dishes were available. Unfortunately, the desserts & snacks section had fewer options compared to two years ago. The main courses offered a mix of local and Asian cuisine. They had a noodle section where you could customize your noodle soup & cooked upon order, so we ordered Penang Laksa & lamb soto. Despite the spotlight on the gearbox stew, however the kambing golek with stir-fried mamak noodles seemed to be local's choice of that night. The tikam-tikam game started around 8pm, however we noticed there were fewer prizes than last year. Unfortunately, I didn't win any prizes. My favourite dishes is the nasi briyani, braised oxtail, papaya kerabu, gratin, nescafe tarik, kambing golek, sarsi selasih, tiramisu cube cake. They did a great job of refilling the main courses so that even those who arrived after 8pm could still enjoy hot meals. Kthxbye.

Bersungkai Ramadhan Buffet 🍽

Went 'bersungkai' with my geng makan families few days ago, undoubtedly why their Ramadhan Buffet is worth the price & fully booked most of the times especially weekend! Their renowned gearbox soup are such delish, huge bone soup cooked with assorted potatoes & veggies, and it match perfectly with steamed white rice or Briyani. Nonetheless, I keen on return to their desserts section, crème brûlée comes in 3 flavours & my favourite are vanilla & pandan. Did I mention they've chocolate fountain? The most enjoyable moment is playing tikam-tikam. The excitement of peeling the ticket & match the number with the prizes. I won 1 frozen sticker! Reminiscing my childhood. Ramadan buffet @ Le Meridien

RM128 for early bird ticket price. Food was pretty good compared to Rasa Ria Ramadan buffet. Got a lot of selection - giant gearbox soup, Malay dishes (ox tail asam pedas, gulai, nasi minyak), fresh seafood (crawfish, prawns mussels), beef & chicken satay, roast lamb, roast beef, roast duck/chicken, Chinese dishes (steam fish, salted egg prawns, Szechuan beef), pasta station, fried station (fried crab/chicken), salad station, bakar station (sotong was yum). Dessert was ok only - a lot of selection was gone by the time I wanted to eat and sadly they did not refill. Housemade ice cream was quite nice - great with the pisang goreng & cempedak. Place was packed! Really a lot of people during weekend so maybe weekday visit is better.
