The oldest Japanese restaurant in KK, and they really do live up to their reputation with authentic Japanese cuisine. So I went here with my friends on Labour Day to sungkai. So, we had:
1. Gyu Enoki Roll
- It's enoki mushroom rolled with beef. Moist. Very good 😍
2. Nasu Miso Itame
- The only vege dish and it's my favourite. It was so hot, I had to hasfsfsfsfsffs while eating it 🤡 even after 15-20 minutes, it was still very hot 🥵 and it was still so 🤤 I've never had anything like this
3. Tori Karaage
- Very juicy fried chicken. I like it better without dipping the sauce 😌
4. Cha Shu
- Pork was tender. Boing boing, it was good but not much oomph for me
5. Agedashi Tofu
- What in the world is this dish? 🤤 I was doing my happy dance in my head after I took my first bite *chef's kiss*
6. Salmon Sushi
- Brb, playing My My My! by Troye Sivan. I can (metaphorically) die every night eating this. That thick slice of salmon tho 👁️👄👁️
7. Californian Roll
- They were out of avocados, so they used mango instead, and I wasn't feeling it. I mean it didn't taste bad, but it's just weird cuz the mango was sweet 😂 but look at the amount of wasabi they served, and I lowkey thought it looked like play-doh🤡
8. Iced Green Tea (not in pics)
- Perfect for hot weather and cancelling all the calories that I just had 😌
Overall, we enjoyed our meal, full to my neck. We didn't think the portion would be big for each dish, and we ordered too much 😂 Thank goodness I made reservation, by the time we got there, it was full house. However, we felt rather stuffy at our table by the corner, but everything else was fine ☺️

ONE OF THE OLDEST JAPANESE CUISINE RESTAURANT in KK // but quality no longer there
Ordered sushi 🍣 , sashimi and main course.
The sushi is big portion and the sashimi is fresh.
A NO for the main course.
Ordered gyu don, the onsen egg is over cooked 🥲 The rice is dry (not moist) until I need to add on kicap. Doesn’t meet my expectation 😑 Sushi Tei or Nagasaki way better. My friends ordered udon and ramen, also mentioning the same thing. They are no longer maintaining their quality.
One plus point is the TOILET, super clean.
Service also GOOD. React quite fast.

这个老字号一直都是姐姐心目中的首选☺️
特别推荐他们家的ginger beef, 每次必点🙈 最爱把ginger beef 的精华汁淋在白饭上，绝对可以吃下10碗饭🤣🤣🤣
Seafood tempura set 炸的天衣无缝，搭配特调酱汁，赞👍
至于nishiki sushi 应该是他们家的招牌，最近有点失水准🙈 salmon 不是很新鲜，我是觉得salmon avocado and cheese 不是很搭🙈 吃不出它的特色在哪里☺️

The colors of the seafood showed oddly darker, strong taste of fishy & clearly spoilt.
Ramen was terrible, tasteless pork broth, pathetic Char Siu, egg & black fungus were okay.
Grilled oysters are way smaller than shown in the menu.
Sushi taste awful, tamago color was pale & taste likes it's been put a long period.
Unhygienic handling & preparing foods.
I found unusual items in my sushi, I WhatsApp them, all I got from them were just apologies.
I want to rate 0.
NO MORE RETURN, NO WORTH THE PRICE.

The sashimi here is really fresh.
The price is reasonable, while the taste and quality is good.
Would say this is better than Nagasaki/Sushi Tei/Sushi Zanmai.

When it comes to sashimi platter , please go for Nishiki 🥰 Definitely suit for small gathering.
I even always dapao during MCO / PKP time 🤪 sorry too craving
