Just a week ago had visited there and had salmon head. Tbh their salmon head shio is better than Mentai one.
I like their baked salmon also, but they are now officially closed since yesterday and they announced so suddenly. Maybe Japan nuclear water discharge really brings huge impact for the sushi industry? 🤷

Brunch with my fam at Sushi Tei trying their new Nov Summer Treasures menu.
Here's our orders:
🍣 Assorted sushi & volcano rolls
Everything presented exactly from the menu. Delicious & satisfied. Well done.
🍱 Jo una jo
Unagi (eel) portion is bigger & doesn't look dry than last visit.
🍤 Yasai & Moriawase tempura
Yasai (assorted vegetables) & mariowase (prawns & vegetables) tempura are yummy!
🍚 Chirashi Don (assorted raw seafood with sushi rice)
It doesn't look similar with what presented in the menu book.
Sashimi were just okay.
Generous portion of the sushi rice though, they used mirin instead of vinegar thus the rice is sticky instead of sour which is okay.
The pink sakura denbu is sweet, enhance sweetness to the dish.
🦪 Kaki Goma Mayo Yaki (grilled half shelf oyster with sesame Mayo sauce)
This is the longest I've to wait for it. I could barely taste & eat the oyster as the oyster is merely the size of 10 cents also covered thickly with the sauce.
This is the MOST unworthy.
Anyway, thank you sushi tei suria sabah service crew for their polite service & efficient responsive in ig.

In pic 2 you can clearly see how fat my hand is , compared to this "small" pot
Very full 2 people can share lah even 3 can , got leftover soup you guys can order more noodle or rice and eat it 😌
Don't worry bb I did the maths already for 2 people around this but no include service charge lah~
Idk is it me or what , but I feel like sushi tei service improve so much , they used to ignore the customer even raise hand and often forget food
But this time no eh they come here and saw us have probs with the fire thingy , not bad eh big improvement 😌💅🏻

Fast & shedap. Look at d salmon belly bah! Fat, fresh & juicy...
Service was great, energetic d friendly. Serving was fast.
Just aircond kedekut sikit tak cukup cooling, or probably choose the seats near d main entrance ada panas sikit....

Asama: 👍👍👍👍 Hamachi (Yellow Tail) not available, so replaced with cheaper butterfish , but great satisfaction! Portion ok, thickness ok, freshness ok, cutting ok, temperature ok, presentation ok, price ok, just NICE! 满足！
Chirashi don : 👍👍👍👍 Got Tuna, Salmon, Squid, Shrimp, Egg, rich ingredients , cheap price, RM18.80 b4 TAX, great value👏👏
The maki are nice also.
Fried item: so so
Free flow wasabi & ginger
Will come back again for sashimi & sushi.

Not much people in this sushi place so we came. All good for both staff service and sushi. Only comment thing is the food served very slow. Waited 20 min for my sushi.

Very Big portion, nice presentation, quiet environment, fast service.
Unfortunately , the beef and chicken are dry and tough today.....The Miso soup is sweet🙃The Sashimi is uncomfotable sweet taste....and the worst mistake: the maguro is in wrong cutting, leaving the tendon😱😱
I hope and believe this is just a one time mistake by the apprentice.
Food quality dropped a lot compared to last visit
Anyway, rice and tempura still very nice
Will still comeback and give it a try.... after Nishiki nearby said bye bye to KK folks.

Always be one of my favorite japanese restaurant, decent portion and good taste. Ordered shio salmon head and baked salmon sushi as lunch after long hours suria shopping.
